Student Council

West Hempfield Middle School Student Council is comprised of 33 students in grades 6-8.  Student council members meet once during the six day cycle during activity period. Members organize events to encourage school spirit and plan community outreach activities. This year, student council held a Turkey Trot to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank and a Dodgeball for Charity Tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society. Student Council has also organized a dance, spirit days, and various other activities to help promote a positive school climate at WHMS.  Applications to apply for student council are available at the beginning of each school year.
